Back from my craft show, gone since Thursday, good to be back with all my virtual friends, or is that real friends virtually?

Still shooting on the rainy day in the Maine woods, near the Appalachian Trail. Hard to beat the colors on a rainy day, and nice to have a weatherproof camera (my OM-D). My wife was less enthusiastic about being out on a rainy day. I could have stayed out all day shooting; she was waiting in the car.

2 great rainy shots. The first definitely has an air of mystery, even foreboding but the second is much lighter and more colourful. Excellent work.

V1 has more impact: but I like V2, because it has a very English feel to it. I was walking past a lovely birch wood yesterday... So many similarities. I'd not realised that the US could look so much like home!

The smell of damp earth and the noise of the rain on the leaves are missing. Both are great photos.

Great rainy day colors, both show great depth in the Maine forest--- looking a tiny bit like my back yard view!

Two images which could have been captured in Blightly, wonderfully crisp and fresh...

Both are good shots, but V1 has that an air of melancholy that makes it my favorite.
