Over the last month or so, I have been away more than I have been home, and hard to have a consistent presence, both showing my photos, and looking at everyone else's......so my choice was a hiatus. I have missed you all, but not forgotten. Back now for a few weeks before a family vacation in Cape May, NY in mid August, and with a little time right now before I leave to go set up a craft show.
We just returned from our annual pilgrimage to Maine, one of my favorite places in the world. We have dear friends we visit on Mt. Desert Island, the home of Acadia National Park, and we also visit with friends on our way up and back. For the next "while", I will show my captures of our journey, not entirely in chronological order.
The second day of our trip, and first afternoon on Mount Desert Island (aka, MDI) was rainy and grey, with fog. I also knew from the weather forecast that it was likely to be sunny (it was) the rest of our time on MDI (good for biking, which I did a lot, not as good for color photography). With my trusty (and weatherproof Oly OMD-M5), I set out for some of my favorite spots before it got dark to capture landscapes, large and small in the rain, grey and fog. This was taken at Seawall, a part of the National Park on the West side of the island, toward the south. From past time spent on MDI, it can be like this for a week. This time, this was the end of a period of rain and fog.
Good to be back.
