Enough of photos from warmer weather. It is winter, and for the first time in a few years, for real. And (at least to me) welcome.
So, the warming Arctic is changing the jet stream and the weather patterns in North America this winter. We have been mostly getting cold, snow and ice, even deep in to the south. I think all of you in Europe have had some of that the last winter or two. We had almost no winter two years ago, and not much last year. We had some very wet snow last week, and then an ice storm a couple of days later, with almost half a million people without power for days (some still). And, forecast of another storm coming in on Thursday (while Southern US is getting another ice storm).
This is a hydrangea, from last summer dried and brown, with a crown of frozen wet snow on top. Other images are similarly covered with frozen water.
