This is an amazing portrait of Daseep, Kathryn. You are making me want to go to the Philadelphia zoo and see what I see.....and shoot.

This is an amazing series. Your love of these remarkable animals shows through in every photo.

Thankyou so very much for all your wonderful comments. I just love her, she's an amazingly beautiful animal and I certainly dont underestimate her power and strength. I know alot dont like zoos but if Daseep and Tshuna weren't hand reared they probably wouldn't be alive, one was abandoned by her mum and the other her mum wasn't making enough milk. If you look on the net at either of their blogs you'll find their amazing journey and how adorable they were as cubs.

Another superb shot Kathryn. You certainly know how to draw the eye into an image, the processing is spot on. I'm one of those people who used to not like zoos but recently I have started to change my mind. Now they perform an important part in the fight to save endangered species and the improved conditions the animals are kept in, although not ideal, has led to a much better life for those animals involved in the breeding programmes, long may it continue.
