This photo was shot in RAW and bracketed =/- 1 stop. Used photoshop and blend modes to render the sky darker and added a vignette, also used levels to boost the mid tones. Any suggestions on how I can improve this image would be nice.
The only thing I can suggest would have been to use a polarizing filter, which would have rendered the sky darker and cut the reflections on the stream This is a beautiful composition. The single tree makes it.
It's a classic scene and well composed. Peter's right about the polariser (I never have mine off my wide angle lens!) and I think with the flat light you had, you've done the best you could.
RannOCH (och !) Moor, pLLLLLease !
Like the image though
Thanks for your suggestions folks, much appreciated, oh and from now on Rannoch Moor it is
This is a beautiful vista. I love the composition and dof.
Just a note that a polarizing filter would not work as expected here without direct Sunlight. It would however work as an ND filter.
Thanks for the advice, have now committed that to memory for future situations.
To Handlerstudio, many thanks for the award, much appreciated
