Taken in absolute persistent rain during the workshop I ran yesterday in the Yorkshire Dales, I didn't take many myself but managed to capture this one with the 300mm lens ![]()

Looks as if a beam of sun was catching on the moss covered boulder, but from what you say, it seems unlikely: but it does contrast well with the less colourful falls themselves.
The water has been captured most effectively.
Just shows what excellent shots can be got even in such indifferent conditions.
