OK, This is nothing like Monet, but my mojo seams to have taken residence somewhere other than my camera bag so I've decided to go back to basics, quite litearlly. I shot this with the Canon Ixus 750 compact while taking Ben for a walk along the Rochdale Canal - as you do! and decided to do something I've never done before and go abstract. I haven't a clue if this works or not so that's why I'm uploading it, if I'm honest I quite like the colours and that's probably whats holding it together ...anyway here goes nothing Wink

...and if you view LARGE it dissapears altogether!!!

Bugger, just realised, I forgot the f/g rock Wink

Ah clever thinking.
I am trying to remember seeing an image of reflection only, I'm sure I must have.
I do like it, the light reflection bottom LHS is a bit distracting but so what.

Yes ! Yes ! Yes ! I absolutely love this one Tony. It's a first class abstract and one which I greatly appreciate. I would forget looking for your mojo if this is what you get without it !

Kind regards

Phil

I always said the Rochdale canal had beauty in it... you just have to look to see! I'd happily have this on my wall, hope it's not so dear as a Monet?

Tony, as an abstract this is great. I've just looked at it large with the light off and standing back from the monitor. I'd love to project it big on a plain white wall - it would give such impact.

its quite nice, not quite Monet, did you know he painted without detail because he could hardly see. would the red have cooked up a bit further, also if its abstracts, the bottom ripples are gorgeous.
Did you say Ben took it with your compact LOLWink

I timed things so we stood on Caude Monets Bridge over the lily pond at Giverny on the exact time we had been married 25 years,
How soppy is that??

Amazing colours . A great capture considering that the baby was in your charge at the time !! Smile Is he still with you LOl . I love this one . Could be a painting . Just put red and green together on your brush and daub it at the same time . Should make a fine abstract painting Smile xx
