Those that favour cropping seem to have missed something - the original has a whole bunch of different framing going on that gets missed by cropping.

The classic poster shot of a quay stretching out into a lake effect is achieved by the bridge disappearing out into the field; yet at the same time it still has the girl as the focal point by making her feet and back emphasise the rule of thirds. Then on top of that the railings on the left are generating a diagonal version of the rule of thirds serving to frame the face, which is lit perfectly for the shot.

I don't know if you spent ages figuring out exactly how to do this shot, or it just had the right 'feel', but it is the kind of shot that makes you want to come back and look closer!

I would never have thought of making such an open exposed place into what looks like a dark enclosed one - reflects the fact that if you try to go in there they set the dogs on you, even though it is supposed to be a publicly accessible building!

I love the composition and the way that you have 'caught' the animated gossip. I also like the pastel effect post processing; but what happened to the exposure? - on a shot like this you really need to stop right down, you can always lighten it up afterwards
