Hi all thanks as always for the comments/clicks on my last upload.
Today I was lucky enough to have caught this juvenile Great Spotted Woodpecker sitting with its head and half its body out of the nest hole. I say lucky because when Ron (Maiwand) and Richard (Mossyoak) arrived it went back in and refused to reappear. I still maintain the size of Richard’s equipment scares them off. LOL.
All versions are just variations of the bird with its head out of the nest hole. Please view large if time permits.
Cheers
Paul

I know Richard can look a bit of a sight at times Paul but I dont think he was bad enough to frighten the birds !!!! I reckon that you made rude signs at the poor little thing before we arrived and he refused to come out after that.
Great shots matey.
Ron
