Nice - there's something very slightly surreal about this, I guess it's the strong shadows against the checker-board pattern. Like it a lot. The place has never looked this good for me.

Many thanks for taking the trouble to comment.
I got there early last Tuesday and waited half an hour for someone, anyone to walk out and complete the composition, in the end a musician walking into the bandstand and when he walked back I asked him to pose by walking through the empty area, he was amazed I wanted to photograph him and said 'photograph me ?' but he silently did it.
