At 13cms the Blackcap is slightly smaller than a House Sparrow. It is one of the larger warblers. I saw this one yesterday in my garden. He was eating berries and enjoying the afternoon sun.

We get a pair of Blackcaps most winters in our garden to. I feel quite sorry for the male as every time he comes down to feed the female seems to chase him away.
