Kestrel - May Hill

Kestrel - May Hill by Louise_Morris

Lovely shot & great feather detail. Coincidentally I was up May Hill this pm after a good lunch at the pub at the bottom. I normally see the Hill when walking on 'my' end of the Malverns, or from our house - it is very distinctive.

And now you've won another. I do like the restricted colour palette & complementary colours.

Like the light, receding archways, pose & stone details that makes the whole a pleasure to view.

The Humble Bumble Bee

The Humble Bumble Bee by KTrueman

And I think of Bumble bees as gentle furry fliers! What amazing detail and such a different view of something that is still so common around our gardens. ( Iknow they are in decline)

Great expression and clean BG. Normally i hate collars being left on dogs bu here I think it empahsises the slim neck and is the traditional collar for the breed anyway.

Who could resist such a sharp close up with the eye contact definitely suggesting you are being considered very seriously.

I agree the rays really make it - the late summer colours are effective too.
