Kita at 11 and a half weeks running down the hall. Determined to document her growing up as I have regretted not doing it enough with all the others I have had.
This female Blackbird waits for me to put food on the wall. We have an array of feeders round the garden but this wall is also a good spot being by the backdoor, she is so close I used my 18-50 lens. I then cropped in a bit closer.
Like many towns Ledbury now has empty shops. This shop - old fashioned haberdashery/clothing- is closing, hence the sale. Just off the main street think it is likely to be empty for somewhile to come. Quick grabshot with Canon D10 as I was out socialising my 11week old puppy.
Yesterday was miserable, grey and dank. This view is from our cottage looking across the lane. I left the wires in deliberately as this is really how it looks. Sheep are brought in from Wales to be fattened by a neighbouring farmer.
3 candles - as yet unused, in our snug. Bought locally where they have an array of coloured candles displayed. One day I will try and get a picture of them hanging up.
Gloucestershire, Herefordshire & Worcestershire are counties full of trees bearing mistletoe. Our garden has an apple tree with several bunches on it. These trees down the road have plenty on them - always remind me of balls hanging off them.
Newent Library. ledbury is our nearest town - over the border in Herefordshire. Newent is a smaller market town and this library is the venue for meetings of Newent & District Camera Club of which i am a member.
Vinca - still flowering in a sheltered corner of the garden. Not sure what the forecast snow will do to it. Canon D10
More of my animals. Fleur (right) & Dora - two of my three Pekin bantams who roam the garden & eat out of the dog bowl alongside my adult Spinone who weighs 90lbs. Canon D10 again.
Kita, Spinone puppy, now aged 10 weeks. Taken with a Canon D10.
I know, I know - I'm missing two of the sequence. Puppy duty is keeping me from sorting things I think I have them on one of the computers and will upload out of order. This is Eastnor Castle near Ledbury through this morning's mist. A Victorian gothic affair that is a local tourist destinat...
Leaf skeleton from the garden. Photographed with a Canon 100mm macro lens and lighting with my S.A.D. lamp.
Queen's Wood Dymock. Reflections in the pond -?large pond or small lake. Anyway my dogs can't resist going in it and there are dragonflies in the summer and even the occasional Kingfisher.
This hamlet viewed from Chase End (last hill of the Malverns) stands at the junction of 3 counties, Worcs, Glos & Hereford. The houses are old but expensivley restored, a nice hidden place for those with the money and who want quiet with easy access to motorways & railways not too far away...
Trees in the mist. Taken across the fields from a house window. Cropped & white balance altered.
