I just arrived in Kirkuk from Kuwait for a special mission. As usual I went to meet with my assigned flight crew. The crew chief was working on the OH-58 that would take me in the mission. To my surprice thie is who I found was my crew chief. SPC Hector L. Rivera, my son. It was great to do a mission his my own son. It would have been better if my other son were our communications support, but I still hope I get to do a mission with him also. I am now on my way back to Kuwait and my other sonn, SGT Luis H. Rivera is stationed there as a communications NCO, I may be able to work with him.

I am getting to old now. Ready to retire soon. Love what I do, Taking care of Soldiers and bringing the fallen heroes home to loved once, but is time for the young to take over.

Enjoyed viewing this behind the scenes shot of this engineer at work. When the armed forces move into battle itís so easy to overlook the many people like this working in the background who without their skills of keeping things serviced and moving armies would grind to a halt. Well captured and done.

Dave.
