Greyfriars church in Dumfries. Site of the death of John Comyn, leader of King John Balliol's supporters. Comyn's body was found at the alter of the church after meeting with Robert the Bruce in 1306. A part of Scotlands violent history. The site of the original church is now a shop as the building was rebuilt in 1868.
The statue in front of the church is another of Scotlands sons, Robert Burns. A favourite resting place for Dumfries' seagulls.
I have tried something new with this image with selective colouring. Hope it meets with approval.
