More from the archives. This January has been the dullest I think I can ever remember. Never mind it's given me time to work on my site.
This is Cornwall again but not taken with my usual wide angle lens...so a bit different from the norm for me.
All comments welcome.
Yep would have to agree with you about the weather...(
However... the shot is nice Helen, lovely sky
Maybe would have liked a slightly faster shutter to sharpen up the splash....but plenty else to like in this.
great light and water capture helen
My God the large version is just stunning you really see all the detail.A shot to be very proud of.
This is an absolute belter Helen! The light & colour are fantastic. Perhaps a lightly faster shutter would bring more detail to the wave hit but this is a minor point to what is a cracking image.
VERY nice!! That spray in the foreground is the icing on the cake.
A summer shot from the angleof the sun, but which month was this taken?
This is a dull Jan, but then last year, we did not see the sun till the middle of March.
Thank you everyone.
@ Matt, taken early November.
Don't say that we've got wait until March. I think I'd be pulling me hair by then. LOL.
A superb capture
Love the rays of light coming from the sun hidden behind the clouds. You also timed this to perfection as the wave crashes into the rock, catching the moment of impact.
Its a fabulous, powerful image.. Superb in the larger format.
Superb image - Cornwall as I love it with a colourful sky and crashing waves.
Superb capture and light.
Nice shot Helen, the exposure timimg on the wave is excellent.
Love this, especially large.
well composed and timed
A well timed & composed image,topped by a beautifully coloured sky.Well photographed.
What a great sky, nicely taken.
Like the way the rock and wave on the lhs balance with the cloud and rays of sun on the right. A lovely shot.
well timed capture of the wave. love the sky
love it !
Exceptional timing, and the most beautiful capture of light. There's an extraordinary similarity shared by the cloud and that distant rock. (Terrific website, too.)
Beautiful light and colour, I love the spray on the rocks, nice timing, a lovely image,
@Ian. I'm glad you like my site so far, still more work to done though. I'll try and do a lot more over the weekend if the weather stays like this.
Stunning shot, Superb.
A lovely image Helen-as Ian mentioned the site looks great-the birling gap images are superb.
Absolutely.....speechless I am!
like how the cloud mirrors the shape of the rock
Wonderful shot. Colours and light are fantastic!
This is a stunner, Helen. I love all those craggy shapes and the lovely colour.
Outstanding in my book.
It's never dull when Helen is around, you have touched this with the Dixon fairie dust and turned it into a magical shot.
All the very best,
. . .yeh yeh! rocks . . waves . . Splash! . . fine . but!
. . . also one of the best @digipal skies this year . . LOL
Simply brilliant!!.....the sky, the sun's rays, the colour, the wave against the rocks, well composed.....what more can I say.
mmmmmm all said above, top stuff, Cheers Chris
nothing to add.
Just fabulous, Helen ...
WOW, thanks everyone for your positive response...you are all so kind. It's very much appreciated.
You hardly need me Helen to say what a magnificent image this is . From the sky with wonderful Rays to the splashing of the waves on that rock . Superb xx
Great wave action Helen, PAul
Oh behave, this is just supurb.
My kind of shot again! Good luck with your website.
This is my fav shot for ages, just love those rays of light the moving waves and the spray. Great work AGAIN.
Thought I'd come and check you out, been a while since my last visit to your bit of Epz, nice to see your listening to all them tips I've been passing on about how to shoot landscapes, there is hope for you yet my girl! Have a good day off tomorrow. I'm not clicking the rest, you already know I like them and your not short of a click or two anyway so By the way, thats a bleeding big pebble making that water splash.
See ya H.
a first class image, great light and view point.
Great use of the zoom lens! Your timing was spot on with the wave crashing into the rock and the shafts of light in the coloured sky! Beautiful work!
A great shot made even better by the crashing wave
