Got fed up waiting for the spring to arrive so went and liberated a few Grasshoppers from the local Pets@Home store, well they'll make good hedgehog food if nothing else
Image is a composite stack of 25 taken using the stacking rig/focus rail and a MP-E65mm 1X5 lens....

A tremendous macro Ade, you've captured its markings in such intricate detail
You are impatient Mr. Ade...spring will be here soon enough.
Although the idea of feeding hoppers to hedgehogs i more appealing than deep frying them and eating them.
