We have had quite a blustery couple of days and I didn't find it easy without a tripod to take photos when we looked around Tony's Mum's garden at the weekend. This has obviously started to go over, but I really liked the colour.
Many thanks to Graham for identifying this as Pulsatilla Vulgaris for me. Smile
I've done very little to this other than blend in a blurred layer to get rid of some of the distractions
Many thanks for clicks and comments on Down came the rain and washed the spiders out - they were much appreciated
Helen

It's a Pasque Flower, Pulsatilla Vulgaris. It belong to the buttercup family.
Nicely isolated using the texture layer.

This is magical - beautiful complementary colours, perfect selective focus. V1 conveys the horizontal movement of the breeze for me.
The balance with the softly out of focus background flower, top left, is important for me.

Thanks Moira and Bill - after endless hours creating images over recent days, its wonderful to have seen something that needs next to nothing doing to it at all before uploading. There are times when I wish all my images were so quick to produce, but then my brain would stop working - so maybe a balance of the two is the best thing Smile

I love the colour in these. I have no idea what these flowers are, they look like they have grasses coming out of their centers. They are perfect flowers for a blustery day. You have captured them brilliantly and processed them to perfection Helen.............Sandy

Lovely images. I prefer version 1 with the square crop. I think version 2 is just a bit tight in the right of the frame.

Hi Helen! Two nice versions of this image. I have to admit, I prefer the second version.....simply because I think it looks more balance in the frame. I feel there is too much open space above the flower in the first image.....to me, it doesn't look quite as balanced as the second version!

As usual, a stunning image! Wonderful colours, tones, composition and DOF!

Cheers
