Yesterday we went to Giggleswick in N.Yorkshire for Roy's funeral.
A very sad day for the family as he was only 61 and a year ago there was no sign of any illness at all.
Debi's first husband [brother of my husband Tony] had died at the age of 50, and so a second loss for Debi and her children. Hard too for her mother to see her daughter go through this pain again.
I took this photo at the service station and felt that it somehow spoke of the day. I'm sure you will all have your own thoughts on the setting sun and the strong links here.
Thanks for looking
Helen

I choose this from the gallery as opposed to my connections because it was a striking image.
Much more significant now knowing the story. Very cleverly conceived on a day when mind could have been
switched off from beauty around you.
Beautiful Helen and our thoughts are with you all.

Sorry for your and your families loss Helen.

So much impact from an apparently simple combination of elements. The shallow dof throwing the background into a fiery blur contrasts beautifully with the sombre colour of the chain. Superb.
