Many thanks for clicks and comments yesterday and particularly to Joline for her User Award - very unexpected
This is from the new village square on a rainy day - I have no idea how I got that yellow glow - but there we go
Thanks for looking
Well observed, Helen.
Terribly beautiful, Helen! LOVE IT altogether. Certainly a favourite.
Great image - love the yellow!
A wonderful, well observed and unique composition Helen.
A magical path. This is so beautiful; plus great use of portrait format, it does what portrait should, it leads the eye gently up through the frame with no lateral distractions.
I have one minor quibble, I'd crop off the base of the tree at the top, I can't decide if it drags the eye away from the path or creates a resting place, but it makes the frame slightly top-heavy. But that's very minor.
You enter you walk
You twist you turn
You run you slide
you stick in the groove
Though no-one can go back and make a brand new start,
Anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.
From Thresholdswirl poem and quotations, and a beautiful illustration thereof by yourself, Helen.
love the comp and reflection helen a cracker nice one
Well seen and taken Helen.
Beautifully composed, and wonderful colour. I wish I'd seen this.
I love it when an image just happens like that. Your composition is perfect, and the reflections are strong, but I love the way they pattern the distant part of the pathway.
Many thanks everyone for your comments and especially to Dave for his User Award -
Makes a great abstract design, Helen well spotted and captured.
Another gorgeous image.what an attractive colour.
That yellow glow really adds to the shot.
A beautiful photo and a wonderful observation
A lovely snaking path to a pot of gold - what a delightful find.
My goodness you have some eyes. What a beautiful image. It glows like Lynne says.......Sandy
Truly magical image - I love the yellow and the reflections and shapes of the paving.
Moira's observation is interesting but I think you certainly need to let the path taper to a fine end.
One of your best. Love it Helen.
A wonderful spot and capture, Helen, the gentle twist in the path is delightful. Carol
The colour makes it special Helen. What a bonus. Love the composition.
This is an amazing photo Helen !! Excellent
Great capture Helen, like how the path snakes it's way up and out at the top. The rain has provided some added interest too with the reflections
well spotted Helen love the tree reflection
Wonderful...such a great lead into a magical image Helen
Helen, this is wonderful. It reminds me of the Yellow Brick Road in the Wizard of Oz.
Yes, I agree with Walter, a contemporary yellow brick road.. What a find!
Many thanks everyone for your comments and especially to Derek and Joline for their User Awards
Ohhh...VERY well seen and shot, Helen!! The yellow actually looks a lovely lime green on my monitor. Very nice
Superb composition Helen - love the yellow/green reflection. I like the oval shape around the tree at the top it echo's the shape in the paving and leads nicely out of the image.
