My school playground is a source of endless shadows that change by the minute
I've taken so many in the past that I recognise them almost like friends when they appear at certain times - around 1pm they are short , in the after school club they are much longer and the symmetrical gate appears around 10a.m.
This I know is an afternoon shadow as they are longer. Its quite simple - 2 doughnut rings chained together and a couple of sausages - something to get your teeth into ![]()

I was again thrilled to bits with the response to my Poppy seed heads and would like to thanks Brian for his User Award ![]()

The sun is shining and so if you have is shining where you are, get out and take some shadow pictures

Niiiiice!
But...
Crop off the top, leave just the shadow, and you have a really intriguing image!

I'll have the sausages!
Two well seen images, Helen, like 'em both, can't decide on a fave, so it's half a vote for each! ![]()

Been out most of the day - V2 is just what I had in mind. Much more mysterious, thank you!
Moira
Incredible long shadows there, Helen. I really like V1, just because it shows where the shadows are coming from, the symmetry is perfect, and you have a nice bit of colour in the tyres too.
Thanks Source ![]()
Many thanks to Pamela for her User Award - which I'm thrilled to bits with ![]()

V1 for me Helen, I need the image to be spelled out to me ![]()
Geoff.
Shadow Saturday was tailor-made for you, Helen, and this image is just one of many excellent reasons why I say that.
Cannot decide between the two, but feel myself veering towards the original........perhaps.

Thanks Ann and Brian for your comments ![]()

I can't say that v2 does much for me either Brian, but it was a crop that I hadn't considered before, and responding to the suggestions that others make is one of the pleasures of being on this site ![]()
