I've been trying out different ways of processing
I think this is the order in which they seem most effective, but I'm not sure if bringing out the colour has now made this too dark
Thanks for looking and for comments and suggestions for yesterday's image

I like the dark tones Helen, it makes it quite dramatic. Very good PP work.

Recognised this wreck straight away. I found it really difficult to capture - getting close enough to make the tractor imposing without losing the boat behind. You have managed it perfectly.

A hard decision. I think I prefer V2 as it shows the rust tones better on my screen.

I'm stunned at the response to this!
I posted it and went to bed, and I've just got up to find it has 30 votes!
Many thanks everyone.
And yes Steve it was very difficult to capture and my poor husband had to wait ages before we got going on our walk as I tried endless angles!!

My hubs says he gets more tired waiting for me to take pics than when he's off walking 5/6 miles with the ramblers heheh! Love the V2 but like all 3 uploaded and think they are great - skies not too dark in the 1st one IMO think V2 wins by a short head

Morning Smile up early today aren't we?! Glad you think I've got more contrast in the books shot! Thanks. I love the sky in this picture, it mimics all the rust on the tractor beautifully. V1 definitely for me.

All three are dramatic in different ways; I like the rust tones in #2 best. Is #3 the original by any chance?

Thanks for your comments Ian and Rachel
Ann, my husband says its easier going for a walk with a toddler than a photographer!! When you get fed up with a toddler's pace, you can at least pick them up and walk away!!
Yes Bill it is the original, but even that has gone through levels and some tweaking.

The power of the machine! Love the processing in V1 - to my mind if you're going to do something like this you may as well go to town on it.

At first look I liked V1 cos I like really moody skies, After carefl consideration I do prefer the colour in V2 instead. Then again I do like V3 too. Never was a decision maker, well sometimes I am?
