We hired a van earlier this week and emptied the rubbish out of Dad's shed. When there was at last room to get in the shed I was able to take some photos of the cobwebs. Dad probably had not got into this part of his shed for over 13 years as that is when Mum had her stroke and life changed considerably for him. So these cobwebs have been untouched for many years. I liked how the light shone on the trapped leaf. It also shone on many spiders, but I don't "do" spiders..........I do blocked drains and most other things, but I draw the line there!!

Not sure if there is a sufficient focus in this shot. I took it on macro to try and bring out the detail in the leaf and near cobweb, and put the more distant cobwebs slightly out of focus.
Have also uploaded my first shot which I then cropped, as I was uncertain about the amount of space to the right of the picture.

LARGE IS BETTER for detail if you have time

Thanks for C&C on the Charter Fair series.
Have a good weekend
Helen

This has the look of one of pareen's manipulations - dark and mysterious. I prefer the cropped version, it seems to suit the hints of light coming from the top, and the vertical lines.
Bill is grateful to you for avoiding the spiders. I've already saved him from one today.

When I moved into my new house,my first job was to clear the cobwebs from the neglected garden hut.Big mistake!!!!! A fine example of a bit of neglect here Helen.

You do have some wonderful varied work in your collection Helen.
This is a wonderfully atmospheric image, dark and brooding! The lighting coming down into shot works superbly. Definitely better as v1. There's a little to much dead space in v2 on the right.
A really good bit of photography.
Paul

Cleaning up after the death of a loved one can be hard. You probably found lots of reminders of former times in there. Artistically I like V1, but practically I like V2 as it gives more information about the location of those webs.
