I've two friends who have had their first scan and so they can see what their baby is like in the womb. Years ago, and where there is not the technology, women can only wonder at what is happening.
[I had a scan in 1977 when I was about 12 weeks pregnant. I asked if everything was OK and was told that I would need to see the doctor - those words rang alarm bells. I had a complete hydatydaform mole Six months later in a different hospital when I was having chemotherapy to treat it, there was a night sister who told me that her husband remembered doing my scan. It was obviously quite memorable]
Here I have used the image of two birds looking down that I uploaded last week, and added the baby to it. Initially the circle looked very flat, but I used the sphere filter in CS3 to make it appear more 3D.
