Now, I really like this so I expect it to bomb. The shot I wasn't so sure about got photo of the week and ones I like tend to get about 5 views. So either I am really bad at picking the good stuff or I'm waiting for everyone else to catch up with my taste LOL.

My daughter came to visit me at work after her ballet lesson, she poked her head around the door and then ran off laughing.
I happened to be taking some product shots with the Tamron 90mm Macro so I grabbed it off the tripod, flipped the settings as quick as I could and managed to get this just as she passed the right point in the hallway.

This is at F2.8 so I was pleased that the focus was bang on.

Oh and it's much better large (hit F11 to go full screen)

Camera:Canon EOS 20D
Lens:Tamron 90mm macro Check out Totally Tamron!
Recording media:RAW (digital)

Defintinely has something about it - a shot with a story behind it. (I kind of wish I didn't know how you'd got it.....the mystery behind it is part of the pull I think). The way you've managed to catch her in the chink of light helps a lot. Nicely done.

Agree with the above, great use of the light shining into the hallway.

Plus there's something mysterious about her running away from the camera and not being able to see clearly where she is running to.

fantastic photograph because it really captures that mischievous air that children are so good at having - the timing is perfect and presented in black & white really makes this work - i think it would have less impact in colour. goes to show it is always sensible to have a usuable camera available at all times.

this has extra meaning to me because my niece will be able to walk and then run in the next few weeks which i really look forward to - has been sweet enough watching her learning to crawl Grin
