Great shadows and what a dinky lighthouse! Would love to know where you took this image. Nice capture.

Welcome, Ashley!

A nice bold first upload!
If I'm not mistaken, this little beastie is at Burnham-on-Sea: I've shot it from the other side, and recognised it (and the beachpool!). I've yet to make it back there, though.

The image lacks a little density, imo. The colour seems just a bit weak against the very strong graphic shapes of the lighthouse and the shadows.
To address this (if you so desired) you could use an unaltered curves layer with the blending mode set to multiply and a reduced opacity of, say 25% - 35%, to help build image density without losing the highlights.
Similarly using Image>Apply Image, would work using the default values (I believe that multiply is the default blend mode), and again just reducing the opacity to something suitable - most likely 25% -35%, as above.

Another thing I'd try would be to experiment with some slightly different crop ratios.
A strong image like this may be strengthened even more by such an experiment, by making creative use of the bold shapes and the shape of the frame. I'd certainly try a 16:9 crop and lose a little sky and foreground; and a 1:1 crop may also yield some interesting possibilities.

Very nice work.

Cheers
Bill

Thanks for your much appreciated comments, especially the constructive ones Smile I think the photo needs more work on it and hope to post a better version sometime. Looking forward to posting another tomorrow now...
