Hi, I think the pose is great often difficult in self portraits, as Sherring says it may be the slow shutter speed, 1/30th is quite slow. If you were to increase the shutter speed and manually pre focus where you expect your eyes to be that may improve things a bit.
Nice composition Jim, the reason the sky looks different to the reflection is that it is overexposed or "burnt out" try changing the exposure on your camera's settings when you are next faced with a bright sky, or you could make two exposures, one for the sky and one for the foreground then combine them, but that's a little trickier.
