Hi, I think the pose is great often difficult in self portraits, as Sherring says it may be the slow shutter speed, 1/30th is quite slow. If you were to increase the shutter speed and manually pre focus where you expect your eyes to be that may improve things a bit.
As I say I think the pose is really good, you look relaxed when often in self portraits the subject can seem awkward.

Hi Mishu, the artistic brush work on the background is really effective, however and this is just my personal taste, I feel the rose itself is a little too dark and needs to be lightened, but some good work here.

Lovely colours and great composition but i fear the main focus is on the thistle maybe slightly higher f/number would help.

Nice composition Jim, the reason the sky looks different to the reflection is that it is overexposed or "burnt out" try changing the exposure on your camera's settings when you are next faced with a bright sky, or you could make two exposures, one for the sky and one for the foreground then combine them, but that's a little trickier.
