V1 - White Headed Vulture
V2 - A palmnut Vulture- we had lots when we lived in Mtunzini. They eat mainly palm nut husks from groves of Oil or Rafia palms, but also feed on crab or fish.
Have wonderful weekend - here it is cold and raining

V2 is an excellent image.

Two great images , love their beady eyes....
Two good captures I like V2 best for the composition and position. Well done Herman.
The hunchback of Notre Dame, Herman Two more excellent captures. Carol
V1 has a real menacing look about it.
v1 looks a right grump, Herman. Obviously not liking your cool weather
v2 for me today herman belting detail wonderful comp and colour a real cracker nice one
I like V2 better, because he's handsome, with a little shorter beak he'd pass for an eagle. Nice shots, Herman.

I go for v2 as well with some lovely details
Wow to version 2. I have never seen this species before and it is remarkably handsome.
2 fine captures Herman, nice detail in both,

Wonderful captures Herman!
2 great images Herman, I am really enjoying your bird series, V2 for
2 super images Herman ,v1 is a typical vulture type pose .
I watched a film just a little while ago on some rare vultures (name escapes me at the moment),but a zebra carcass was put out in front of them .They were really cautious and waited for over 2 -3 days by which time there must have been over a hundred birds staring at it .But the moment one vulture decided he could wait no longer ,they all dived in ,they cleaned it in less than 15-20 mins and i mean cleaned !!! the bones were all that remained. They are the waste disposal of the plains and stop disease etc from spreading .I was really amazed
Captures of vultures will always make me pleased.
Two great shots Herman - love the hunched shoulders in V1 - the classic vulture pose - beautiful birds.
Great poses captured.
