V1 - White Headed Vulture
V2 - A palmnut Vulture- we had lots when we lived in Mtunzini. They eat mainly palm nut husks from groves of Oil or Rafia palms, but also feed on crab or fish.

I like V2 better, because he's handsome, with a little shorter beak he'd pass for an eagle. Nice shots, Herman.

2 super images Herman ,v1 is a typical vulture type pose .Smile

I watched a film just a little while ago on some rare vultures (name escapes me at the moment),but a zebra carcass was put out in front of them .They were really cautious and waited for over 2 -3 days by which time there must have been over a hundred birds staring at it .But the moment one vulture decided he could wait no longer ,they all dived in ,they cleaned it in less than 15-20 mins and i mean cleaned !!! the bones were all that remained. They are the waste disposal of the plains and stop disease etc from spreading .I was really amazed Wink
