Took this at a dam near Swellendam in midday when the sun was overhead and sharp. That gave the look of a light inside the flower, but also affected the colour of the waterlillies. Want to go back on a clouded day Smile

Yes Herman, a dull day will make all the difference! Two very fine shots of this beautiful water lily flower, Herman, and as you indicate it's almost as if it was lit from within: there's little doubt in my mind the dull light can enhance floral photography, bringing out the true colours and preventing overblown highlights. A return trip under an overcast sky would be so rewarding.
