A great image...
Love the water doplets..
Nice colours...
I found the eye a little hard to see..
May be use the dodge tool or sponge to lighten or add colour and pick out catch light in the eye..
This I hope will give you a conection between you and the swan...
Great work...

Dave

Thanks. Not sure where to get the dodge tool or spongeSmile I've only got the software for the NIkon.

Download a copy of the GIMP ; I doubt it's in the Nikon free editor.

I think this could also use a little sharpening, along with picking out the eye. The photo is in perfect focus; it just needs to be made a little crisper. Try unsharp mask with radius 0.7, clipping 0 and strength about 100. If you see any kind of pixellation or haloes developing, turn down the strength until they go away (set the strength to the maximum value to demonstrate what you're trying to avoid).

Those little things aside, you have an excellent shot, here. Everything you did with the camera, you did well, and now it just needs a little polishing in an image editor to show off its qualities to the maximum extent.

Dave.
