Well, you gotta start somehere - being a 'silver surfer' thought I'd try using a DSLR and hopefully get some fun. Just beginning....I like using it, but so much to learn!

Am much a beginner, Richard, and new to the forum. Pic was in very low light, and cropped and resized to 70KB (I think I got that right).
The IS lens is good in brighter conditions.
Will hopefully add a better example of it very soon. The 450D is nice camera, delivers good pics, even with a Flektogon in manual focus, using Live Imaging to focus. Am starting to learn, give me 10 years :o)
Thanks for the kind encouragement. Will add another pic tomorrow as have now sorted out the required picture size better, and it shoould be much sharper than my friendly jay and squirrel above. Am getting there, slowly but surely.
Thanks Margaret - as a very reclusive hobbit it is very good to find two more CP digital SLR members. Narrows the planet down a bit, doesn't it! But there can't be many better places for bird pics.
