This lovely young lady was in charge of the , Children's Face Painting, stall at our local St George's Day event.

I requested a photograph for my ever growing , Portraits Project, she readily and pleasantly agreed; it is wonderful when that happens.

It does take time to build up the confidence to ask complete strangers if they mind their a Portrait being taken, a relaxed outlook, a ready smile and the promise of a print or a JPEG file usually works.

Should anyone refuse, I just offer my thanks and walk on, If they agree, then I try to put them at their ease so they don't deliberately pose, chatting as I consider framing, cropping and settings usually works.
