What a day!
My youngest son's UCAS application went in three days ago. He received confirmation of it arriving and we sat back ready for a long wait. He has spent the last few days constantly checking his emails and the UCAS site for any news. I told him it could be a good while before we hear anything. Thankfully, how wrong I was.
This morning all hell broke loose in our house when he checked his emails. Edge Hill university, his first choice have come forward with an offer, how's that for service. We couldn't believe it was so quick. Everyone was jumping around in excitement. The neighbors must have thought we were starting a party at 6.30 this morning.
He then went to college where he was to sit his English assessment. We received a text message telling us he had passed with flying colours. That was Gill and I jumping around again.
Personal Message: Well done Sam, you got the one you wanted and we are so proud of you.
I have managed to stop jumping and screaming long enough to type this. What a day! Superb!!!!!!!!
Right, just a little about the image whilst I am composed....ish.
I purchased Gill an advanced cookery course at Betty's in Harrogate for her birthday. We both went down, I dropped her off for the day and then headed for the RHS garden Harlow Carr for a wander round.
Autumn was everywhere, but you know, i just couldn't get any shots I liked of all the leaves on the ground and trees. It was then I put my beloved macro lens on and began shooting, my camera display came to life with shots that I was finally happy with, this being one.
The rain started so I entered a glasshouse which contained beautifully planted beds of Alpines, the majority of them were in flower. I began shooting the flowers of the small delicate plants, I had to use a bit of flash as it was so dull. I found the walls of the glasshouse to be brilliant for bouncing the flash giving perfect illumination.
I hope you like this one, thanks for looking and for any comments.
