Not the intention of the original shot but a secondary idea that I pursued. I liked the overall eye shape with the parallel of the lens as both iris, and our eye on the world as togs.

Yes indeed it's very creative. I've shot myself a shot against a glass today but I didn't like the fact that my fingers holding the camera were visible, thankfully my dark blue top hid the rest of my. I would suggest if you can to cover the parts visible (yes even the head) and give the same distance and shot a try.
