Finally got around to doing an morning recce of Hatfield forest today. Unfortunately I think I was a week late for the leaves and the weather. I know what part of partly cloudy I saw.
Still there are plenty of photogenic trees there and this old timer was still showing its Autumn glory.

Nice shot, but it looks like there could have been a even better shot had you got in close to that fab trunk, and included some of the autumn leaves as well, maybe a wide angle shot from the bottom of the tree looking up would have worked.

Spookily enough David, when I was going through the day's shots on the pc, wide angle, low pov, looking up crossed my mind as a missed opportunity as well. Thanks for the comment and the ideas.
