About Me

It's taken me far too long to take the plunge and register with ePz as I've been enjoying people's photography on the site for around a year now - about the same time that I bought my first digital SLR. My work background is in advertising and marketing but I've recently spent two years working in Asia as a videographer for a company that produces a wide range of underwater programmes (Scubazoo). My true passion (outside of photography) is scuba diving and I've spent a good part of the last seven years out in Indonesia and Malaysia. It's quite a transition to come from the world of video to the world of stills photography - video can be much more forgiving - but I'm loving the learning process.

I've been hugely inspired by the quality of work that's on view on this site and there are several of you whose portfolios are firmly stored in my 'favourites' (landscape specialists in particular). Thanks to all of you for sharing your work and I'm looking forward to finally posting some comments!
I'm currently using a Nikon D50 with an 18-70mm lens. Also have the Sigma 70-300mm lens and looking to add to Sigma 10-20mm as well as the Nikon 85mm lens in the next couple of months. Macro, portraits, landscapes, sports...love them all but am most happy when shooting in a foreign land.

Thanks for looking,
Howard
