Spent a week in this spectacular part of the Dolomites for some exploring on skis. A very scenic cross country ski trail runs 19 km down this valley from a high point of 1500m to 1200m at the town of Dobbiaco. There were many opportunities to stop and photograph the scenery en route. I will upload a few more photos. This part of the alps has had a record amount of snow this winter and the mountains look superb. Like everywhere, spring seems to have come early and this lake was thawed enough to give a beautiful reflection of the mountains which I tried to capture in this shot,
