To find this next to the railway station was a really nice surprise. Have put up two versions - this one as is, the second cropped for those who feel the grasses are a distraction Wink and a third with the flower on left cloned out plus a bit of post processing ... Grin

Many thanks to you everyone who commented and voted on "Sunrise and Moon over Glaisdale Rigg ... " and other images all very much appreciated.

Yes Dave, lovely dark skies but too cloudy to take any moon shots which was a tad frustrating Grin

Goathland is internationally known as "Aidensfield" in the popular TV drama "Heartbeat" which has been gracing our television screens for many years.

A rather beautiful and certainly tranquil image, one in which one could loose ones self. Beautiful dappled light and a lovely sense of calm. Just one small point Carol, 'GOATLAND does not exist, it is 'GOATHLAND', SmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmile

Very hard to choose a favourite, so I shall remain on the wall.

Regards Nathan

v2 for me, Carol, the balance of colours works better. It is a beautiful area and one we always go to when visiting my parents in Scarborough (the white rose isn't my avatar for nothing!!) .

I love all three Carol. I intend to visit the NYMR some time and must remember to look out for this. I take it you also captured some nice steam locomotives

No Jim not one single steam engine Sad - ticket office told us only diesel going direct to Whitby an hour plus later, and then next steam would leave Whitby at 5.15 pm - daughter & her hubby were walking to Grossmont, where we were to meet them and all come back on steam train together. No mobile signal, drove to Grossmont and there sitting in the station was none other than .... a steam train - parking was a minimum fee so didn't even get to see the train properly - daughter and her hubby caught it back to Goathland best laid plans of mice and men sadly gone awry ... Sad

Beautiful water, perfec for me, it is so lively and running, not misty and frozen.
Like Dave, I prefer v2 for the composition.

Very nicely done, V3 for me.
