I thought that compared to Rievaulx Abbey, Whitby Abbey looked a little dark and forbidding, so I thought why not give it a little make-over ... hope you like it

Thank you everyone who very kindly voted on my "Light Snack" much appreciated GrinGrinGrin

No idea how you did this Carol!, it would be interesting to see the original as a comparison but! at the same time I feel it must have involved quite a bit of work to be able to present this photo. I must say I would have no idea where to start on a project like this, or where to finish for that matter!, a great job well done, like it regards Leon.GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Glad you like it Leon, great little bit of freebie software is how I managed to create this and I have now put up the original as you requested ... Carol Grin

I see what you mean about it being dark, and of course you had to lighten the grass or it would have over powered the building, I think your effort would look good framed and mounted on a wall, nice idea! if me I would keep experimenting after all for a first attempt it's very good, best of luck Leon.GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

I love the detail in this picture, it really suits the theme. It looks like a drawing. SmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmile

It is a drawing Wendy Grin I used a small freebie program with filters and this one is called pencil coloured - you just fiddle around until you get the effect and colours you want and is great fun to use ... thanks everyone for you kind comments and votes they are very much appreciated ...
