The Knight refers to St George's Wharf, the rather swanky development of residential flats with shops, bars and restaurants opposite. The big tower (St George's Tower would you believe) will be the largest residential building in the UK when completed.
The bridge is Vauxhall Bridge. It crosses the River Thames between Vauxhall on the south bank and Pimlico on the north bank. Opened in 1906, it replaced an earlier bridge, originally known as Regent Bridge but later renamed Vauxhall Bridge. It took eight years to build, was the first in London to carry trams and later (1968) one of the first two roads in London to have a bus lane (Park Lane was the other).
The building just over the bridge is the MI6 HQ... can't tell you anymore without having to kill you!!

totally awesome, the lights are beautiful and your work amazing
A rather informative History Lesson Dave, supported by a rather magnificent lowlight composition. "If I may be so bold as to challenge such an esteemed photographer?" I would have like to have seen a long exposure in order to remove the rather distracting movement on the river.
Regards Nathan
Superfine image. I like the star of the light to the LHS. Deep
Another super, well composed night shot Dave,
Fred.
Love your description...........very informative..........dread to think how much an apartment in the tower will cost..........could fill it with bankers or footballers!!!!
Good use of a Saturday evening ![]()

Isn't it strange how different people view the same image and manage to see things from such a different viewpoint! I rather like the fact there's a little movement in the Thames, after all, one assumes it was moving!! Enjoyed the info as well as this stunning low-light capture.
Ann
Do you think the St Georges Tower will be occupied by spies! Perfect viewpoint of MI6 from there, excellent night capture again Dave.

Trev.
A great night shot. Super compo, nice light still in the sky, no 'burn outs', good reflections. Well taken. Do I need to say "I like it"?! ![]()

Such an incredible night shot, you make London look beautiful, love everything about it.
Colourful and beautiful low light image Dave there's a man on the second floor in MI6 HQ holding a open top secret file and i can't read it, so it must be a bit out of focus
or i need new glasses. Please don't kill me i'm not a spy but Tory Chief Whip Andrew Mitchell said i was a bloody Pleb. ![]()

Missed the uploads for 15 days. saw all the awesome pics including this masterpiece.
Dave, fine tones and a nice rich feel to this one, great detail at lowlight.......brings together a great composition and I like the star burst on the lights.
Paul.
Great cityscape image and I like the contrast between that bridge (named after a car plant I think
) which is quaint and the very sci fi appearances of the new builds. Colour in the sky still, mixed with artificial lighting, coupled with water reflections, your timing is excellent. The reflection of the building under construction helps keep the water in the frame and complements the bridge on the other side. I wonder how many floors the KGB have rented in that tower?!!
Superb image and reflections Dave, well done..Lin
Dave, a perfect "blue hour" shot. The reflected colours (my spell checker still doesn't like this spelling) are wonderful and I like your comp. as well.
Thanks for including the tech info. Your narrative about the bridge and this neighborhood is also quite interesting.
