Beautiful Bambrugh

Hope you are recovering Nathan

Another cracking shot of the Kingdom of Northumbria's finest castle to stop the marauding Border Reavers or the Vikings not sure which probably both over the centuries

Stairs by IainHamer

Stairs

Relic I used iso 400 so would only have a shortish exposure but not too short. ISO is the old of film speed equivalent which was used to get the exposure correct on various lighting conditions and allow flexibility in the exposure. Get an old photographic handbook and have a look through this it will give a good idea of what ISO/ASA is in these terms. The main advantage of digital is that you can change this without having to, as in the film day's having to take the film out, change anything other than your settings.

Grand Canal, Venice by thegrimfandango

Grand Canal, Venice

Quote: Now that is beautiful and were it not for the modern boats could indeed be in the class of Canaletto.

Totally agree very Canalettoesque. Never did get the light right when I worked on a cruise ship that called in there every two weeks so well done
