Relic I used iso 400 so would only have a shortish exposure but not too short. ISO is the old of film speed equivalent which was used to get the exposure correct on various lighting conditions and allow flexibility in the exposure. Get an old photographic handbook and have a look through this it will give a good idea of what ISO/ASA is in these terms. The main advantage of digital is that you can change this without having to, as in the film day's having to take the film out, change anything other than your settings.
