Our local dog handler - from an evening shoot a couple of weeks ago.

Edit: Perhaps a bit more explanation is needed. Richard Corfield is a local man who deals with canine behaviour and psychology. I often see him walking the dogs along the narrow lanes over the moors where I live. Anyway, I suggested a photoshoot and he willingly obliged. We reccied a few spots and the idea was to use a long lens and have the road disappearing off into the background. Most imges were taken with him walking towards the camera and with a lot more road, except this one, and I was lucky enough to catch the dog looking back at me which really helps make the image. I might upload a couple more although I doubt they will do as well as this one. At least you know the story behind the images. He might feature in a portrait soon - as long as I can coax him into the studio Smile

Thanks, Ian.

Blimey that is a lot to walk.
What makes the image for me is the single dog looking back.

Cheers all, especially Andy for the award.
Rich - been really busy just lately so not had much chance to get out and about. Could do with a good jaunt to be honest. Still, must not complain !

Cracking image with just the one dog looking back you could take a thousand shots and not capture this again.
The processing is also spot on as well. There is only one thing left to do and that is award it my user award. Smile

David.

Me neither unfortunately, but will be off soon to get some spring flowers (with a bit of luck!)

Thanks for your comments and award David - appreciated.
Ian.

Plenty of Orchids this way Rich - still some left at Cressbrook Dale as well. Best be quick though.

Excellent photo, & nice bit of luck with the dog looking back.

I'm not sure about the angle. It's not enough to be arty, & just looks like it needs straightening.

Works well in B&W though.

Big thanks to eveyone for clicks and comments.

Dave,
Thanks for the comment. It's the road that's on an angle, not the camera. I'm not into angled images.

Cheers, Ian.

Like everyone's said, the single dog looking back certainly makes this great shot. Depth of field excellent too. Well done.
