Just been looking through some archive images or rejected images to be precise and came across this one. It's not a composition I am entirely happy with as it was starting to rain heavily so I never had enough time to accurately compose, but it has grown on me since I took it Wink

I'm looking forward to returning to the lakes in October and hopefully capturing the autumn colour.

Thanks for looking,
Ian Smile

A composition and light evoking mood and a sense of place.

Hi Ian
I took one from almost exactly the same spot a while ago. Lovely elements here and the composition works well imho. The only point I would make is that perhaps it needs an anti-clockwise rotation to level the water. However I know that these angles can be tricky and the water level top left is spot on so it may merely be a compromise between perception and reality that is needed.

Thanks Alun your comment is really appreciated and I will take it on board for the next time I visit. I looked at rotating it slightly but would lose that gap between the edge of the frame and the boats on either side. Next time I think I will shoot a little wider to allow for any such rotation/cropping.
