I like this a lot Anthony, but I would clone out the lights in the building at the left of the photo - the 3 above the rail. The take the eye away from here it should be.

After looking at this for a few minutes I realised what it was that was bugging me - the image is too clean - too crisp. The image portraying real squalor and one can only image what must have been going through her mind - what had captured be sons eye that made him want to look away?

Anyway, apart from a lovely composition, I played with the levels just a little bit then added some noise to give the photo a feel of something it was lacking for me.
