The sun was setting over the trees giving anything that came in contact with it's rays a nice orange glow, making this Swan stand out loud and proud.

A fantastic idea and well captured. However the White balance is rather off... the swan is very yellow. this can be done in camera, but also in your photo software!!! The shot has great potential!!! Maybe upload for mod and i am sure people will be happy to rectify the colour for you!!!

Thank you for the advice Liana....but

The idea of the shot was to catch the glow of the setting sun on the swan, i took many a picture to get the effect right. The main idea was to show the swan in a new light, sharp in focus with a new shade, rather than it's bold white. I'm very happy with the result.
