Couldn't find anything new I wanted to put on so was going back through my vast archive of forgotten files. Then I remembered about my digiscoping, some of you may or may not know what that is. It is simply an ordinary compact camera put up to the eyepiece on the back of a telescope and take a picture of what you'd otherwise see when viewing. Of course there is a lot more technique and refinement than that nowadays using adapters and other various gadgets to ensure a secure fitting and good image. In SLR terms it can give focal lengths ranging from sort of 1200 to maybe even 2000mm if you use a zoom eyepiece on 60X magnification. I think this was around 30/40x on mine and the bird was maybe 40 ft or so away.
Hope you like cos I may well put more digiscoped stuff on. And yes I do keep odd hours.
