For those who do not know him, Ernesto is a K1 fighter. Some people claim that Hoost is the best kickboxer ever. He is retired since 2006. Great gentleman.

Great subject and oozes character. Lighting on the face is spot on with the rembrandt style (into shadow on one side with the triangle of light on the cheek) as this holds the attention to where the interest is in the face.

I would suggest moving in a little tighter and bringing the hands up to include in the frame - the white shorts do distract and aren't needed to tell the story of this man.

This would help in the character of the portrait by closing in on the face.

None the less this is a great colour portrait. Love it.

After closer inspection I agree with you. There was only one problem. Ernesto does not like to be posed around. So I decided to go for a natural look of this gentleman, without posing him at all.

I've no idea who he is but he does'nt look a very nice person when you look deep into those eyes. Good photo though.

Sorry ladies and gentlemen, I wouldn't crop it at all.
Why?
To take out the atmosphere?
Anyway what's wrong with white shorts, they also tell a part of this man's story.
A good shot (in my humble opinion!)
