I sat and waited for the sun to dip down and the shadows to lengthen.

I hope you like this shot. I found it so peaceful.

The barley fields are a very special and a very beautiful place to be.

....."I never make promises lightly,
and there are some that Ive broken,
but I swear in the days still left,
we will walk in fields of gold.....
You'll remember me when the west wind moves
Upon the fields of barley
You can tell the sun in his jealous sky
When we walked in the fields of gold"

This is a magical capture John, I love the way the light is picking out individual poppies and the heads of the white flowers too. A great sky, super capture of the suns rays....superbly titled too!

It works john, the tractor lines take you into it then the poppies take you across to the right hand side.

Steve

Gorgeous moody shot, love the sky.

Full of atmosphere with the way the suns rays are breaking through the dark cloud. The scattering of red against the barley does it for me John.

John, this is the first time I felt the need to add a photograph to "my favourites"....I was initially attracted by the red flowers in the thumbnail but when I opened it I was astounded by its beauty.

Everything about this is superb.....I particularly love the sun's rays breaking through the clouds and the delicate feel to the field.

Thank you for sharing this.....

I hope you don't mind, but I've opted to sit by your poppy field for a while, and admire it. I promise to stay out of the frame. Smile

The over all feel to this is amazing. The dancing of the land as the sky brushes it's touch of wind upon it is amazing!
