The curve is more dramatic in V1, but I love the abstract feel of V2. I would however get rid of the light streak of tree trunk on the upper left hand side.

The texture and shape of v2 wins it for me, peter.

Natural curves, nicely taken. I like them both, but V2 has the edge.
