@ Pegon – Thanks very much for looking, and for your kind comment, which is all the more encouraging because I’ve thought the same about many of my favourite images here, particularly landscapes. ![]()
@ Mip007 – Thanks for your modification. (Yay - the first someone’s done for me!) I looked for a option to comment directly on your version, but couldn’t find one – hope here will do.
I really like what you’ve done. In general I’m not a great fan of very highly saturated, boosted or much-altered colour in landscapes and skyscapes (although of course it always depends on the image), and I probably tend to err on the ‘naturalistic’/drab side with saturation, but your increase in saturation on this pic is subtle enough that it works, even for me, and makes me realise that I can take it a bit further. The crop works well too, and produces a stronger, more eye-catching image at this size.
Incidentally, you’ve also given me the idea of possibly using a panoramic crop of this pic or a similar one as a banner thingy for my portfolio page. ![]()
